Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords:

“Last year, over 33,000 Americans were killed by a gun. Oregon has not been immune to this deadly crisis: somebody is killed with a gun in Oregon every 21 hours. As governor, Kate Brown hasn’t just seen our nation’s gun violence crisis firsthand, she’s worked tirelessly to combat it. “Oregon’s governor has an important role to play in combatting gun violence and advancing solutions to make communities safer and we believe Kate Brown is best qualified to continue taking on that important challenge. Giffords is proud to endorse Kate Brown, a leader who has the courage stand up to the corporate gun lobby and who will never stop working to make Oregon communities safer.”
